The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) aims to accelerate research and innovation through data, data-intensive infrastructure, tools and services.
With existing brand guidelines, we were able to evolve the brand while working on new projects. We wanted to expand on the logo's colourful letterforms and use them at scale, creating exciting shapes and layouts.
We began working on significant website updates, introducing a new menu structure and refining the content's layout for better legibility. Updates included an analysis of colours and adjusted them to at least AA Accessibility levels.
With the website update, a supplement to the brand guidelines was produced, introducing the 'Attribution guidelines' that outlined co-branding rules for using the ARDC logo.
A new marketing brochure with an infographic style designed now sets an aesthetic direction that can influence other collateral.
The Case Study Book was a final exclamation mark to a busy 2020. It showcases how ARDC has been accelerating research and innovation through data, data-intensive infrastructure, tools and services.
I engaged AKD to update the Australian Research Data Commons' website using our existing brand guidelines. I also wanted AKD to see how we can extend the current brand guidelines to improve the website's look. They did a great job in introducing a new menu structure and improved accessibility levels on the website. Nothing was too small or big for AKD to tackle, and it was so easy to work with Taso. Thank you very much to Taso and his team of experts!
