Connecting Clinicians

The Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance (AICG) is committed to improving patient safety and quality care through excellence in clinical governance education.


The 2021 Symposium is about connecting clinicians and further improving patient outcomes. After being delayed twice due to Covid, it is now being delivered online with keynote presentations and panel sessions.


We created a unique brand for the 2019-2021 Symposium to differentiate it from the leading AICG brand and stand on its own, with the logo portraying a collaboration/connection concept.


We focussed on using the AICG secondary colour palette throughout the brand. Consistent use of colours, images and fonts in print and digital applications helps build awareness of the event.


Strong branding and messaging all help with audience engagement. We think that this event will be a success because we've captured the audience's attention.

Planning an inaugural event is always nerve-racking; you want it to look as professional as all of the work that goes into planning it. More importantly, you want it to be successful.


In planning AICG's inaugural Patient Safety & Quality Care Symposium, we wanted the event to look different to our traditional branding and have a different logo so that it could stand on its own as its own brand.


Given AKD had already done a brilliant job of designing our core brand, it was a no-brainer to use them again. Taso has a great understanding of how we want our brand to present to the market, which makes the briefing process really easy and informed.


The use of AICG's secondary colour palette was a fantastic choice; these colours were very bold and in complete contrast to the main brand. This meant the Symposium communications really stood out in all of our marketing materials and digital ads. They were also very appropriate for the tone of the event and the target market. The new logo was also really eye-catching and the graphic developed really spoke to the "connection" theme we wanted to emphasise.


Working with AKD affords AICG consistently high-quality design work that is always delivered on time and on budget. Taso goes over and above to ensure we receive our work on time – even when the brief is last minute. Rolling out


Our branding work delivered a style guide with clear rules on the use of the logo, colour palettes and fonts. Within the style guide, we also provided the creative direction to be implemented over time.
