As Mineral Technologies approached its 80th anniversary, they needed a brand refresh to honour their rich history while showcasing their leadership in mineral separation and
processing solutions.


My goal was to develop a refreshed brand identity that balanced respect for their heritage with a modern, innovative outlook. This involved creating a versatile design system adaptable across diverse platforms.


Having worked with Mineral Technologies since 2017, I used my strategic and creative insights to explore bold design directions. I presented a comprehensive ‘Brand Vision’ with fully developed branding and collateral to key stakeholders, including the senior leadership team and Downer’s corporate communications team. I introduced a cornerstone graphic, designed for both static and animated applications, symbolising the company’s technology and innovation DNA. I then rolled out the refreshed brand across print and digital media, video content, presentations, websites, trade shows, and internal assets.


The refreshed brand successfully communicated Mineral Technologies’ legacy and future aspirations. Continuous refinement keeps the brand dynamic, adapting to evolving marketing strategies. The project received positive feedback from internal teams in Australia and globally, despite the challenges of remote collaboration during the global pandemic.
