Downer Group, listed on the ASX 100, employs more than 53,000 people across more than 300 sites, primarily in Australia and New Zealand but also in the Asia-Pacific region, South America and Southern Africa.
AKD has been working with Downer's Road & Rail, Mining, Defence and Corporate Affairs areas in producing on-brand communication consistently while evolving aspects of the brand to work with the ever changing customer engagement requirements.
We provide valuable external design support for all Downer's internal marketing teams across large variety of design and communication services.
We developed the existing Keoride
logo into a brand that works online and in print.
Then we designed and produced the Keoride website
in two weeks, to launch their on-demand
transport pilot program in the Northern
Beaches and Macquarie Park, Sydney.
We set the style of images, font usage,
establishing the colour palette and logo
options to use on a variety of applications.
The new website is clean and user-focused. It
includes integrations to external applications,
one for booking the service via Salesforce’s
booking and management software and the
other is to a sophisticated survey designed
by University of NSW (UNSW - School of Civil
and Environmental Engineering). We refined
the survey’s question flow and applied the
Keoride style to help engage customers using
the service.
The website has been developed using our
premium web platform which includes inbuilt
optimisation for quick page downloads which
Google loves, and many smarts such as SEO
optimisation and content management.

Conference Branding & Collateral
Brand Guidelines unify the business.
Our deep understanding of Downer's brand guidelines allows us to maintain the look and feel of whatever we create for them.
For the 2018 Utilities Business Conference we used Downer brand colours, fonts, illustrations and iconography that were available to us to produce a series of infographics to communicate business goals.

Branding within the Downer brand.
The success of Downer in Australia and New Zealand provides us with the opportunity to rebrand acquired businesses to reflect the Downer brand guidelines.
On several occasions we have rebranded new business acquisitions and found that re-designing some existing brand elements to maintain a historical connection allows for a smoother transitioning for their employees and their business relationships.

We have been working with the Downer brand for more than 15 years.
We have and continue to produce a variety of marketing collateral, advertising, tender submissions, and internal communication requirements.
